What ingredients do you use?
Candy floss is simply sugar with flavouring and colour added. These are poured into the machine, which heats the sugar to melting point and spins it out - making candy floss! We currently use British beet sugar for our basic candy floss, however should you require a specialist sugar - organic, fairtrade - we can discuss the options. We also use the highest quality industry standard colours and flavours. We are always experimenting with natural flavours and have achieved some delicious results. If there is a particular topping that you would like us to use, contact us to discuss the possibility.
Do you do children's parties?
We love attending children's events and seeing the smiles on their faces when we hand them a huge, glittery blue candy floss, however we are not a children's entertainment. We are a fun addition to your event, and are happy to come and provide candyfloss and smiles.
Will you come to our event?
Our philosophy in life is fun, and we believe that fun happens when you give, smile, and interact with people - we wouldn't do this if we didn't love our job! If you would like us to come to your event, please contact us using the form. Please note: we are not a children's entertainment.
What are your rates?
We can serve for any length of time, to any amount of people, and wework in 3 ways:
Tell me more about the flashing candy floss.
Flashing candy floss is great for night time events and festivals. Your guests will receive flashing, glowing candy floss and when the candy floss has gone, they will still have a flashing toy! For an extra cost we can print your logo onto the flashing toy. We source these from a UK supplier, and they comply with all safety standards however they should not be given to young children.
What is your power spec and what do we need to provide for you?
We use a British made candy floss machine that runs at pulls 1000 max watts, 13 amp. If you are providing us with a generator, please make sure that the generator is 1.5kva or above. The candy floss machine cannot share a lead with any other appliances and must plug directly into the generator. If the candy floss machine is sharing a generator with other appliances, the generator must be of a suitable power spec. i.e. higher than 2KVA and have is own power lead/plug. This is because a power surge will blow any other equipment that shares its lead. Alternatively it can be plugged directly into the mains. We can provide all of this but please contact us to discuss.
Do you have food hygiene certificates?
Yes we do. It is a legal obligation for the leader of each team to hold a Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety and Hygiene, (ours are accredited by City & Guilds), and to make sure that these standards are kept whilst working. We also hold a grade 5 (top) food hygiene rating from Brighton & Hove city council and the food standards agency.
Can you still make candy floss in bad weather at outdoor events?
Candy floss melts when there is dampness in the air such as fog, and in the rain. It's also very difficult to make lovely big candy flosses in windy weather. We have a 3m sq pink waterproof gazebo which we use for outdoor events as shelter for light showers. We will always check the weather report and advise you prior to your event, and you have 48 hours to cancel your appointment with us subject to a small fee (see 'Cancellations and conditions' below).
Do you have Product and public liability insurance?
Yes we do, up to £5m so you can feel safe when hiring us.
What are your terms and conditions and how do we pay you?

What are your rates?
We can serve for any length of time, to any amount of people, and wework in 3 ways:
- Private occasions - e.g. weddings, corporate parties and private parties - You may hire us starting from a basic 4 hour slot and we will provide unlimited candy floss for that time.
- Public events - such as street parties, festivals and summer fairs - We will attend your public event and make it more colourful, adding our own flavour to the occasion.
- If you are contacting us about an event where we would pay for a catering pitch, unfortunately we rarely do this. Even though we love the odd burger and chips, we see ourselves as filling the niche between interactive entertainment and food. Like a static walkabout. With sugar. And pink hair.
